Secure the property after a tenancy change

Keys may remain with previous occupiers, contractors or managing agents. Replacing suitable locks helps establish a clear starting point for the next stage of property management, whether the building will be secured, inspected, refurbished or re-let. We change locks only once vacant possession is confirmed, so access is regained lawfully.

Our scope can be tailored to the property and may include:

• Replacing or upgrading suitable locks to British Standards (such as BS 3621 locks and TS 007 3-star anti-snap cylinders) and insurance compliance
• Agreeing key handover and authorised access arrangements
• Escorted property viewings avoiding keys being handed to third parties
• Keeping fire exit doors openable from the inside where people still use the building, as fire safety law requires

Lock specification should reflect the door, insurer’s unoccupied property insurance policy conditions and intended use. Any additional repairs or specialist hardware can be identified during the assessment.
