A leading Traffic Management Company in Leeds appointed us to deliver a robust Manta Barrier System installation to protect their workforce while traffic management operations were carried out on a busy vehicular bridge. The installation played a key role in ensuring site safety and traffic flow throughout the project.
Busy Traffic Conditions:
The installation took place on a heavily traffic bridge route in Leeds, requiring careful planning to maintain traffic flow and minimise disruption.
Workforce Safety:
Due to the proximity of moving vehicles, ensuring a secure barrier system to protect operatives from live traffic was critical.
Traffic Management Coordination:
Works had to be closely coordinated with temporary traffic signals and sequencing to keep both the workforce and general public safe throughout the installation period.
Our team provided and installed 40 Manta Barriers, linked together to form a continuous, high-visibility protective line along the work area. The Manta Barriers were complemented by 3 metre wide Fence Panels, fixed securely to create a resilient shielding system capable of withstanding site conditions and offering clear demarcation between the workforce and passing traffic.
The installation delivered a highly effective safety solution, safeguarding the workforce throughout the duration of the bridge works. The combination of Manta Barriers and tall Fence Panels ensured that operatives were shielded from live traffic, even under congested conditions. Coordination with traffic signal systems minimised disruption to road users while maintaining safe working conditions on site.
This project demonstrated our ability to provide durable and highly visible protective barriers suited to high-risk environments with busy vehicular flows. The successful installation enabled safe progress of bridge works while protecting both the workforce and the travelling public.
