This version of the Manta barrier offers the same durable, long-lasting design as the original, but without the powder-coated finish. Made from recyclable galvanised steel, it is built to withstand tough conditions and is suitable for repeated repositioning and reuse throughout the life of your project.
Available in the standard galvanised unpainted options, this model also offers a high-visibility red and white striped option. Each unit securely connects to the next using a removable steel pin, allowing you to create a continuous and adaptable barrier system tailored to your site requirements.
Key Features
A versatile barrier system
Each Manta barrier measures 1.5m x 42cm x 50cm – it’s rough as tall as it is wide. A removal steel pin connects each barrier to the next, to form a solid wall. An additional feature of the Manta barrier is that you can rotate units through 180° to accommodate right angles and bends. Common applications include defining pedestrian walkways and vehicle access, for example, to create a pit lane on construction sites or anywhere that requires the demarcation of vehicle traffic and footfall for people’s safety.
Crash-tested for safety
The new Manta barrier system has been meticulously crash-tested by experts and proven to provide superior protection against severe impact with a phenomenal “A” rating in its ASI and THIV assessments. The British Standard crash course W7 of BS EN 1317:2010 was passed with flying colours.
Withstanding an impressive 1,300 kg impact at over 50 mph, the new Manta barrier absorbed the energy of crashes, minimising damage to both vehicles and the barrier itself. This level of performance makes the Manta barrier an ideal solution for roads with high speeds and heavy traffic.
Wind-tunnel tested
The Manta Barrier was tested in an internationally renowned wind tunnel both with and without fence panels attached. When test on its own, the manta barrier received an “A” rating. This means that the barrier withstood wind speeds of up to 74-mph before being displaced.
With a pedestrian barrier affixed, the barrier was able to withstand wind speeds of up to 60mph, and 44mph with an anti-climb mesh fence.
