RB1300 Track Safety Barriers

The RB1300 low level water-filled barriers can predominantly be found at indoor and outdoor racetracks. Their clever yet simple interlocking design allows safe, continuous circuits – even around sharp corners and turns. Lightweight when empty, these barriers are easy to deploy and relocate.

Installation

These barriers are easily moved and put into place without specialist machinery. Although the different models of the barrier have slightly different dimensions and weights, the process for installing the barriers is the same. The installation steps are as follows:

1. Place the barrier into position.
2. Slide the protruding end of the first barrier over the hole of the barrier that you want to connect to.
3. Repeat this process with other barriers. This system can be shaped to allow for ‘S’ shapes and curves, simply adjust your line of barriers as required.
4. Check that the drainage plus is secure.
5. Next you can now fill the barrier with water by removing the cap and using a hose.
6. To empty the barriers, remove the drainage plug and allow the water to escape.

For additional weight, sturdiness and impact resistance, the barriers can be filled with sand instead of water once they are placed in position. You can download a copy of the installation guide here.

When empty, these weigh just 10kg so can be positioned in place with relative ease.
