Our client, a building and maintenance solution provider in the South West of England was the lead contractor on a large construction site building multiple timber framed structures for new housing. There had been previous arson attempts onsite which had caused deliberate fire damage to the structures and it was imperative the site perimeter was secured, and put under surveillance, to act as a deterrent and help to prevent any further criminal damage.
We carried out a site survey to determine the optimum locations for CCTV cameras to provide the widest coverage. Once the camera locations had been confirmed we attended site and were able to complete the installation within 48 hours. We installed a security system comprising of eight bullet cameras for full site surveillance and a public address tannoy so that warning messages could be broadcast to warn off intruders. A network video recorder with 4TB capacity was secured in a lockbox, ready to capture video evidence of any attempts to penetrate the site perimeter. An alarm receiving centre provided 24/7 remote monitoring, so that local police could be alerted and our teams could quickly respond to any suspect movements detected on site.
The client was reassured that the site perimeter was being monitored around the clock, with the added support of a police response should a security breach occur.
