How to test devices have connection
When your site is live, the call points and smoke detectors will intermittently flash green to show they are online and connected.
To provide better visual feedback you can put the site into ‘test mode’ by following the video. The green lights will then be solid green. You can walk around the site to confirm they are all solid green.
Warning: When in test mode the site is not live. Remember to take out off test mode once finished.
How to silence the fire alarm
Watch the video to see the two ways to silence your fire alarm.
How to test the fire alarm
Make sure the system is not in ‘test mode’ from the first step on this page.
If your site is monitored by our monitoring station you will need to call them first to put your site on ‘test’. Otherwise, they will think it’s a real fire alarm. You will need the site postcode and your password to speak to them. Ask them to put the site on test, then follow the test procedure below, they will then confirm if they receive the signal. Ask them to then put your site back live again.
Testing the fire alarm is done by pressing a call point and verifying the base unit receives the signal and the alarm sounds. It is recommended the system is tested weekly and you test using a different call point each time.
Base unit pin code
The base unit pin should be 1234
