Our customer, a building company, was undertaking regeneration work outside of a convenience store in Rugby. The work was being completed on the side of the building and required the closure of the public footpath. They needed a solution that would close off the work area from the public while also ensuring their operatives would be protected from potential wayward vehicles.
We supplied and installed 22 metres of temporary steel hoarding along with a 1 metre pedestrian gate. The hoarding was secured with bracing stabilisers onto block trays weighted down with concrete ballast blocks to greatly reduce the possibility of the hoarding being moved or forced entry attempts taking place. This freestanding, temporary steel hoarding solution forms a solid wall with no gaps, keeping the site secure from public view.
Careful planning was involved due to the logistics of closing a public footpath. Once all the necessary details were place, our team carried out the install within three days of the customer confirming the order. The temporary steel hoarding remained on hire for 6 weeks and successfully kept the site secure during this period. When the works were complete our team returned and carried out a swift and efficient removal.
“Safesite provided an excellent service and we would not hesitate to use them again. They offered advice and support on the hoarding that we required and worked hard to deliver and install it within a tight deadline. We were very pleased with the quality of the product provided. Zoe Purkess, in particular, was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and it was a pleasure to deal with her. We would recommend this company without hesitation.”
