Chapter 8 Safety Barriers for Social Distancing at Plant Nursery

The Brief:

Our client was a West Sussex-based, family-owned plant nursery and garden centre in Worthing supplying plants to both the public and local authorities. When it reopened following the national COVID-19 lockdown it wanted to provide a safe walkway in the car park leading to the entrance of the garden centre, so that customers could maintain social distancing.

The Solution:

We provided the nursery with 40 Chapter 8 safety barriers, which are a go-to system for traffic and pedestrian control and warning. Due to their high-visibility aesthetics and reflective panels Chapter 8 safety barriers are ideal for warning purposes, offering a reliable ‘all round’ temporary safety solution. As well as being lightweight, the barriers were joined together using a linking pin system, making them easy to reposition.

We were working to a very short time frame and were able to deliver the barriers to site within 24 hours of receiving the initial enquiry from the nursery.

The Outcome:

The swift turnaround meant that the nursery could reopen to the public on time and that vehicle and pedestrian traffic could be managed in a safe and controlled way.
