Road Rock Barrier

The Road Rock Barrier is a fully-interlocking, multi-functional base section, suitable for use with many types of fencing. It offers a self-weighted solution to secure barriers in windy conditions, increasing pedestrian and road worker safety and control. Barriers can be linked to provide continuous runs.

Barrier units

Each unit measures 500 mm (length) x 315 mm (width) x 308 mm (height) and weighs approximately 15kg.

With an innovative interlocking design, each barrier can be easily linked to the next to provide fully secure and sturdy continuous barrier runs. Suitable for use with many types of fencing, Road Rock barriers are an excellent choice for all public areas where pedestrian control is vital, such as street-works, airports, car parks, hospitals, stations and retail centres and factories. They also offer many applications for outdoor events such as festivals and shows, where barrier and safe movement control is required.

Constructed from sturdy PVC, Road Rock barriers offer high durability in all-weather situations and are available in highly visible white or red as standard with a black top section, whilst additional corporate colours and signage are also available.

Wind resistance

With a weight of 15kg each, the deployment of SafeSite Road Rock Barriers in pairs brings the unusual benefit of being a temporary pedestrian barrier which offers a total 30kg weight, the precise weight required to withstand class B wind speeds (up to 17.6 m/s).

Versatile and portable

SafeSite Road Rock base unit design includes in-built handle, for easy lifting and portability, allowing these units to be quickly installed and moved as required, whilst the interlocking design facilitate sturdy joints and easy erection of continuous lengths.

The additional innovation of curved faces to both the front and back of each base makes it easy to accommodate bends and corners in barrier runs.

Economical on the environment

Base units are made from 100% recyclable PVC, which can be further recycled at the end of their considerable street life. The angular design also allows for space-saving packing for transportation, with up to 42 units fitting to a pallet, to help maximise space and minimise carbon emissions through bulk transportation.
