Sales Executive – CCTV

Littlehampton, West Sussex

Accountable to: CCTV Technical Manager

Salary: £22,500 to £24,000 per annum + commission

Location: Littlehampton

 

Job Purpose

To become the key point of contact between the CCTV department and our clients, promoting our products and services with the aim of maximising sales profit. To deal with new business inquiries, promote products to existing clients, as well as generating new leads.

 

Principle Duties & Accountabilities

The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time in order to meet the needs of the company, but accountabilities will include (or be equivalent in nature to) those listed below:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing customers
  • Responding to incoming email, live chat and phone enquiries
  • Producing quotations and following up to convert leads to sales
  • Contacting existing clients and promoting the department’s products to increase sales
  • Contacting new businesses to generate new leads
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements
  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
  • Recording sales, getting purchase orders and entering site information on our CRM system
  • Liaising with operations team to guarantee smooth operation of installations
  • Attending team meeting and reporting on progress
  • Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Gathering market and customer information

 

Role Demands

The role may require working antisocial hours, long travel nationwide and on occasion, staying away from home (e.g. trade shows, site visits, etc).

 

Level of Knowledge & Experience

Relevant experience gained in any commercial area involving contact with customers, preferably in a sales capacity. A qualification in relevant subject an advantage but not essential.
